Tips for Bangor-on-Dee Races
Jump racing has taken place here since 1859 and the track is situated in a picturesque area of North Wales, near Wrexham. The weather in the region can make conditions quite demanding so we often look for tips that handle testing going. Bangor-on-Dee is the only racecourse in Britain without a main grandstand!
Course: A speedy left-handed track not dissimilar to the shape of a D and it has many tight little turns throughout the circuit. Over fences it’s quite a demanding test of jumping so we look for tips that are assured in that department.
Feature Race: The Anne Duchess of Westminster Memorial Handicap Chase in a Class 2 event over 3 miles in November where in 2017 it was worth £16,000 to the winner.
