‘You can’t knock his strike-rate’ – 298-1 Jim Crowley double at Haydock on Saturday 🐎

Battaash wins the Nunthorpe

Jim Crowley has been selective with his rides at Haydock so far this season. He has taken just eight rides there and has come away with four winners. You can’t knock this impressive strike-rate and he takes another four rides on Saturday. We’ve picked out two at decent prices and they form a 298-1 each way double. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing. We’ve been in flying form this week including big each way double and accumulator wins on Sunday.

3.15 Haydock

On To Victory (22-1, William Hill) comes into this looking like a well handicapped horse and is available at an attractive price. Alan King’s gelding last won on the flat in November 2020 when taking the prestigious November Handicap. That win came off a 2lb higher rating and he surely has to be considered a dangerous proposition off this mark.

4.25 Haydock

Spirit Of Light (12-1, William Hill) is lightly raced on these shores having had just three runs for current connections. His third at Chester two starts ago was a promising effort although it came between two disappointing runs. He has slipped to a double figure mark and if he returns to the level of form shown at Chester, off this new mark he looks very dangerous.
