Willie Mullins takes aim with 32-1 double raid at Cheltenham on Saturday 🎯

Willie Mullins at the 2018 Cheltenham Festival

We’re very used to battalions of Willie Mullins-trained horses coming over to Cheltenham for the Festival in March. However, he doesn’t tend to run too many at the track’s season opener in October. He’s wasting no time this year and is set to send two runners over on Saturday. These two horses combine into a juicy double which has to go under consideration. You can check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

3.00 Cheltenham

We’llhavewan (17-2, William Hill) was victorious when last seen at Killarney in August. The front two were clear of the rest that day and it was a solid performance. He’s been given a couple of months off since and the step up to three miles looks likely to suit. This horse is also a winner over fences but the chasing experiment was brief, as a result of two below-par efforts at Kilbeggan and Tipperary. A son of Imperial Monarch, he’s clearly going the right way and it would be no surprise if there was a little more improvement to come.

4.45 Cheltenham

Catch Yourself On (5-2, William Hill) is set to make his debut in the final race on the card. Willie Mullins has won four of the last six renewals of the Champion Bumper, which means he certainly knows how to win a bumper around here. Owned by Paul Byrne, this horse cost €60,000 and his half-sibling placed in a French Group 1 over 1m4f. Mullins is operating at a strike-rate of 54 per cent in Irish bumpers so far this season and that certainly bodes well here. The home team should have their hands full with this Irish raider and a big run is expected.
