35-1 treble: Willie Mullins launches a three-pronged raid in Britain on Saturday

Willie Mullins at the 2018 Cheltenham Festival

The national hunt season is really gearing up properly now and the big guns are starting to come out to play before the Cheltenham Festival showdown in March. The master of Closutton Willie Mullins will send four runners over to Britain on Saturday to participate in three different races, and it would be no surprise if Mullins won all three races. Let’s take a look at the horses in more detail below and you can find our free horse racing tips on the website.

1.50 Cheltenham

If leg one of the Mullins treble lands then the bet has a proper chance as Capodanno is by far the biggest outsider of the three. Nonetheless, the JP McManus runner deserves plenty of respect. He ran a very respectable race when third behind runaway winner Galopin Des Champs in the Savills Chase. Only a head behind Gerri Colombe, if that is legitimate form he has a chance here.

2.05 Doncaster

Mullins is represented by two horses here who are both at the head of the market, but Ashroe Diamond is probably the most likely winner under Patrick Mullins. The mare won a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse last April and although well beaten in the Hatton’s Grace behind Teahupoo and Impaire Et Passe there in December, this is much easier and she should be too good.

3.00 Cheltenham

Lossiemouth won the Triumph Hurdle over course and distance last season, and then went on to land the Champion Juvenile at Punchestown. This is her seasonal reappearance but she might not need to be fully wound up to win and she is surely well ahead of anything else in here if she’s at her best.
