Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

Horse Racing tipster James Boyle has selected 10/1 & 8/1 Value Bets for today.

6:55 Southwell – Samovar – 1pt win @ 10/1

SAMOVAR was a 14/1 winner for this column last Thursday and I usually would not be keen to punt a handicapper like him on the back of a win, never mind when he’s 2lbs wrong at the weights. However, there was a lot to like about how he performed on the day despite missing the break and his superiority was more pronounced than the winning margin suggests. This C&D is obviously his speciality and in a race where the three market leaders have not won at the track, he could pop up again.

7:10 – Kempton – Bint Dandy – 1pt win @ 8/1

From a mark of 68, there’s no doubting BINT DANDY is a well-treated mare having scored off 79 & 80 last term and she shaped with definite promise dropped to this trip at Lingfield last time out, staying on strongly to grab fourth spot. The fact that the winner had enough in reserve to hold on after making the running suggests the pace may not have been hard enough for the selection and if they go quicker from an earlier stage this time, her late thrust might come in time. She should go well.
