Trainer with 67 per cent strike-rate at Hereford sends one runner on Tuesday 🔥

One trainer that has had just three runners at Hereford so far this season has come away with two winners. That gives the trainer in question a 67 per cent strike-rate at the track. He’s set to send just one runner there on Tuesday which simply has to be of interest. It’s also worth noting that the jockey which has been booked for the ride was victorious in his sole ride here during the current campaign. 12.20 Hereford

Fergal O’Brien’s Evenwood Sonofagun is an experienced maiden, having had 12 starts over hurdles. He has managed to finish second or third in five of those starts, indicating that he’s capable of getting off the mark. A little disappointing at Worcester when last seen, he’ll need to return to his best form to get his head in front here however.

This gelding’s three best efforts to date came when trained in Ireland. He finished second three times in a maiden and two novice hurdles between 2m3f and an extended 2m4f. Those all came on good ground so the conditions here should be to his liking.

Despite the fact that he needs to improve on his latest effort, this certainly isn’t the deepest of maiden hurdles and it does represent a good opportunity. Liam Harrison is set to take the ride and the conditional jockey won on his only ride at Hereford so far this season. This trainer and jockey combination clearly looks dangerous and Evenwood Sonofagun could be one to look out for here.
