Trainer with 100 per cent record at Windsor has just one runner on Monday 💯

Racing returns to Windsor yet again on Monday and one trainer will be seeking to maintain an unbeaten record for the season. Hughie Morrison has had two runners at Windsor so far this season and both of them have won. This gives him a 100 per cent record to defend with his sole runner at the Berkshire track on Monday. The East Ilsley-based trainer sends a twice-raced colt there, who’ll be looking to shed his maiden tag. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

6.15 Windsor

Lunatick showed signs of progress in his two starts as a juvenile. Finishing sixth of 14 on debut at Kempton over a mile, he struggled behind an impressive Gosden-trained winner. He finished a bit closer to the leaders on his second start over the same course and distance a month later. There should be plenty more to come this year however and we haven’t seen the best of him yet.

There’s plenty of evidence in his pedigree to suggest that he’s likely to find significant improvement the further he goes. He’s a half brother to two hurdle winners and most of his winning relatives have scored over 1m4f or further. This is no surprise as his dam won a French Listed race over 1m4f. Connections have put him up to 1m2f for the first time here and this is likely to be a much more suitable test.

Oisin Murphy is set to take the ride and this high profile jockey booking would suggest that a big run could be on the cards. It’s difficult to ignore Morrison’s 100 per cent strike-rate and there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic that Lunatick can extend this unbeaten record.
