Our resident horse racing expert Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher. He has spotted two pretty large ongoing gambles taking place at Thurles Racecourse today. Don’t miss out on our posts on Twitter @myracingtips where you can message us directly and have your say. Our free horse racing tips are also available every single day and we have been in good form the past month. Let’s take a closer look at these big gambles in more detail below.
My Oakclahome (16-1 into 13-2 at the time of writing this article) is as short as 7-2 in some places for this handicap chase. The eight-year-old was in the process of running a good race when the horse unseated rider approaching the second-last fence over course and distance this month. He was in second at the time and now young Fitzgerald will take 5lb off this time around so he has a big chance at the weights.
Tudor Manor (12-1 into 4-1 at the time of writing this article) has shown enough promise to suggest he can take down a weak maiden hurdle of this nature. Promising 5lb claimer Jack Foley will take the ride on the Flynn-trained five-year-old son of Casamento who is only having his third career start today. He had every chance approaching two out when pecking on landing at Clonmel on debut but still finished a respectable sixth of 15. He was a remote fifth at Punchestown behind leading Supreme Novices’ Hurdle hope My Mate Mozzie and won’t need to improve a whole pile on that effort to get seriously involved here.
