Three reasons why Daryl Jacob could be worth following at Ayr on Monday

Isaac Souede (left) and Simon Munir with their jockey Daryl Jacob

Top jockey and retained rider for Souede and Munir, Daryl Jacob has three good rides at Ayr Racecourse on Monday and there’s reason to believe why it could be wise and fun to do a small treble on his three mounts. Jacob had a 32 per cent return at the Scottish track last season, resulting in seven winners, and the fact he travels all the way there on Monday could be a tip in itself. We will provide you with a betslip above where you can back the treble in the click of a button for convenience. Make sure you check out out free horse racing tips on the website too.

Jacob’s first ride is aboard Stuart Crawford’s Joshua Des Flos, who has a solid profile. This boy was placed in a pair of bumpers and finished third of 22 in a Punchestown maiden hurdle when trained by Joseph O’Brien in November 2022. He ran well enough over course and distance last month but is probably even a lot better.

12.50 Ayr

Next up for the Dazzler is another for Crawford and that is aboard Brucio. This mare posted her best run yet when third in a large-field Down Royal maiden hurdle on her debut over obstacles last month. She could improve again.

1.50 Ayr

Ballycoose is an outsider on paper in comparison to Jacob’s first two rides, but he still has a chance. This former track winner had 19 months off the track but caught the eye on his return when fourth of 17 in a handicap hurdle at Navan over 2m4f last month. He has to be a player off the back of that.
