Three outsiders that can upset the apple cart at Kempton on Saturday

4.55 Kempton

Thore Hammer Hanses is a very talented jockey and is great value for his three pound claim. He will take the ride on Rod Millman’s Costa Teguise. Drawn 13 of 13 runners, this will be no easy task from the widest stall of all. However, she is now four pounds lower than when down the field here last month and first time blinkers are now reached for. If the headgear has the desired effect, then she could outrun her large odds.

5.25 Kempton

Marco Ghiani is a young jockey that is going right to the top in our view. He will take the ride on rank outsider Disarming, who is returning after an 185 day absence. Interestingly, this is Dr Jon Scargill’s first runner of 2021 and the fact they have booked the best claimer around could be a sign of intent. This horse ran a dreadful race when last seen at Kempton but was beaten just half a length over track and trip in January 2020. She is now two pounds lower and has been placed twice here from two starts.

5.55 Kempton

Amor Fati has opened up a very large price and is too big to ignore here. David Evans’ charge was well beaten at Wolverhampton in December but missed the break completely so that run can be forgiven. This will only be his third start at Kempton but he ran respectably when last seen here from a nine pound higher mark. He has the ideal draw in stall three so should be able to get into a nice early position. He has two ways of running but if on a going day would be a major player.
