Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running on ITV on Saturday.
We landed a tasty 67/1 treble at Ascot several weeks ago and this week’s treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.
Lake Forest had a great year last year and was also second in the Commonwealth Cup. He was an eyecatcher when fifth in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot on latest and will find this much easier. William Haggas is in fine form at the moment and it’s a great opportunity.
Jm Jungle won over C&D at last year’s Ebor meeting and bounced back to form when landing a very competitive 19-runner handicap at Epsom over 5f on latest. He merits consideration again and is still fairly treated on the pick of his form.
Onesmoothoperator won this race last year and was only kept ticking over in Meydan this year with this race in mind. He has a tough mark and top weight to contend with but should be primed for this and he won a Group 3 at Geelong in Australia last year. He was backed from 50/1 into 6/1 for the Melbourne Cup when finishing midfield in the world’s biggest handicap but this is the one he has been lined up for.
