Newcastle is the northernmost all-weather track in England and southern-based trainers aren’t afraid to send horses up there. It’s a 600-mile round trip for a lot of them and connections won’t want to go home empty-handed. We’ve combined three southern raiders into a treble for Friday’s fixture. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Cardinal Point represents the Michael Bell yard and she has finished second in each of her last three starts. The four-year-old has earned a return to the winners’ enclosure and this looks like a good opportunity to do so. She was a winner at Chelmsford in October and Joe Bradnam takes 7lb off. It’s reasonable to assume that she’ll run her race once again.
Level Look represents the Andrew Balding yard and they had an excellent record at Newcastle in 2025. He was a bit of a no-show on debut at Kempton but there were signs of improvement when fourth at Lingfield after that. Obviously more will be needed in order to get off the mark here but his profile suggests he’s likely to step forward again. The step up in trip should also help his cause.
Trust No One remains unexposed, having had just three starts in handicap company, and there’s more to come from him in this sphere. Lemos De Souza’s gelding wasn’t beaten far, despite finishing fifth at Wolverhampton last time out, and it worth noting that he’s been dropped another 2lb since. Taryn Langley’s 5lb claim could come in handy and it would be unwise to rule him out.
