1.20 Leopardstown (Saturday)

Loughglynn is an improving sort and Willie Mullins’ staying hurdler could take all the beating in the Grade 1 Solicitors Novice Hurdle. The Albert Bartlett entrant won a Grade 2 at Limerick on Boxing Day despite a couple of jumping errors and has a big engine.

1.50 Leopardstown (Saturday)

Nurburgring beat Kala Conti on Hatton’s Grace Day at Fairyhouse in December, and although that rival got the better of him at Leopardstown over Christmas, he has a 7lb pull in the weights for a three quarters of a length beating and can reverse the form.

2.25 Leopardstown (Saturday)

Marine Nationale spearheads the Irish Arkle market and could take all the beating, but Found A Fifty is not to be underestimated. Gordon Elliott’s gelding has been a much improved horse since sent chasing, taking Grade 1 honours in the Racing Post Novice Chase here on Boxing Day. He will be dangerous if he gets a soft lead.

1.40 Leopardstown (Sunday)

Farren Glory would have won a Grade 1 at Aintree easily only for a fall when last seen and he looks an exciting prospect. The form of his Grade 1 win at Fairyhouse in December has worked out well and he’s another one of Gordon Elliott’s leading lights for the weekend.

2.45 Leopardstown (Sunday)

The wheels have come off Impaire Et Passe thus far this season, but it’s too soon to write him off and he should be able to serve it right up to State Man. Despite being no match for that horse when the pair met here in December, people forget how good this horse was last season and we haven’t seen the best of him this season yet.
