Ryan Moore is a jockey to follow wherever he goes and he has a fascinating book of rides at York on Thursday. Four of those rides are in races which are live on ITV and we think he could have a particularly good day. We’ve combined his four rides into a juicy Lucky 15 which could provide substantial returns. State Occasion won a valuable handicap over course and distance in August, off a mark of 94. Connections then tried their luck in Group 3 company at Newmarket last time out. She was a little disappointing and finished a well-beaten ninth. Improvement will be needed if she’s to feature here but she’s relatively lightly raced for her age and there could be further progress to come.
Assessment is a typical Sir Michael Stoute horse who has been patiently campaigned so far, having had just four starts. He did well to win at Kempton on handicap debut last time out, as it was his first start for 333 days. It stands to reason that he should improve physically for the run and the experience will have done him the world of good. There should be loads more to come, despite a 6lb rise in the weights.
Continuous was unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile, including a Group 3 win in France. Aidan O’Brien has won this race four times but not since 2010 and another victory is long overdue for the master of Ballydoyle. This colt is impeccably bred, being out of a full-sister to Maybe, and the step up to an extended 1m2f should be right up his street.
Hispanic was a hugely impressive maiden winner at the Curragh in October. Not many horses win 5f races by eight lengths. He ran out of steam in a Listed race over 6f at Doncaster last time out and the return to the minimum trip is likely to suit.
