The 86-1 Aidan O’Brien treble that the bookmakers fear at Longchamp on Sunday

Aidan O’Brien stated that The Antarctic was really starting to come of age after his fine second to stablemate Blackbeard in the Middle Park at Newmarket. Slowly away, he made giant strides late on and although he made no impression on the winner, this test will definitely suit him as he has won on soft.

1.50 Longchamp

Never Ending Story won her maiden at the Curragh in June before following up in a Group 3 at Leopardstown, hitting the line very strong over 7f. The drop back in trip wasn’t the answer when third in France but she ran well in fourth in the Moyglare Stud when last seen and was badly hampered in rear at the furlong pole. She caught the eye late on and this step up in trip is bound to suit.

3.05 Longchamp

Luxembourg is a dual Group 1 winner on soft ground so conditions should be absolutely ideal for his Arc bid. Aidan O’Brien produced one of the best training performances ever seen to get him spot on and win an Irish Champion Stakes and he has a nice draw in stall eight. This horse is no ordinary horse, he is special and let’s hope he shows that on Sunday. We think that he will.
