Talented Irish jockey travels all the way to Plumpton for two rides on Monday 👀

1.30 Plumpton

Sam Ewing travels all the way over to Plumpton for two rides on Monday which has to be extremely interesting. The talented young rider’s first ride is aboard the Neil Mulholland trained Crossing The Bar who was a winner over hurdles for Philip Hobbs last season off a mark of 112. He was in the process of running an eyecatching race when unseating rider at Doncaster most recently and this represents a drop in class. He is entitled to plenty of respect in this affair.

2.00 Plumpton

Sporting the same colours as Crossing The Bar, Ewing’s other ride on the card is aboard Great Ocean for the same yard. This is another horse who won for Philip Hobbs last season and he ran a big race on stable debut at Worcester in October, travelling like a winner throughout but just got ran out of things late on and finished fourth. He disappointed at Fontwell on Boxing Day but the handicapper has dropped him from a high of 114 down to his current rating of 108 now so this runner could be very nicely treated also.
