‘She won by a furlong last time’ – Willie Mullins seeks 9-1 treble at Gowran 🎯

Willie Mullins has had seven winners at Gowran already during the current Jumps season. The master trainer is seeking to make it a perfect ten with three runners on Friday. When combined, these runners form a tantalising 9-1 treble. It could prove foolish to take the Closutton maestro on so getting on board might be a good alternative. Saylavee (11-10, Paddy Power) has won her last two bumpers and is looking to break her hurdles maiden tag at the first time of asking. She takes on the boys here but on the evidence of her 12-length win at Clonmel two starts ago, that won’t be a problem. It was an imperious victory and a couple of subsequent hurdle winners have come out of it. Did well to win under a penalty at Killarney last time out and she could prove to be a useful recruit now hurdling.

3.52 Gowran Park

Champagne Problem (8-11, bet365) couldn’t have made a better start to her hurdles career. The daughter of Fame And Glory has won both of her starts by increasing margins. Won by a furlong at Kilbeggan last time and the runner-up won her maiden by five lengths the time before. Stepping up to Listed level looks like the next logical step and she could be a very smart performer in mares only races.

5.37 Gowran Park

Mullins got Katie Tay (7-2, Paddy Power) to win on her first start for him at Tramore last month having had two starts for Emmet Mullins. Improvement will undoubtedly be needed upon stepping up to Listed level but her trainer is certainly capable of getting it out of her. It could prove telling that she runs in this as he presumably has a legion of bumper mares he could have entered.
