‘She has the perfect draw and 20-1 looks huge’ – Adrian Wall’s Sunday outsiders 🐎

5.15 Beverley

Star Of Lady M is a bit of a stab in the dark but the David O’Meara runner has to be respected off top weight with conditions and the draw to suit. The mare won off a 4lb higher mark last season and although she has run down the field in two outings recently, she is nicely treated if the handbrake is off. With the perfect draw in stall one, and first time cheekpieces applied, the price might not last.

5.45 Beverley

The Michael & David Easterby team are in great form at present and their runner here Casilli could be a major threat to all. The mare was heavily backed here last time but didn’t get into things. Nonetheless, the weight of money for her that day suggests she was expected to go very close and she has been dropped 1lb for that effort. The course specialist can get back on track.

6.15 Beverley

Sticking with the O’Meara theme, the yard have another lively outsider here in the shape of Zozimus. This horse is very hit or miss but was a useful sort when trained by Donnacha O’Brien in Ireland in 2021, finishing fourth in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket that year. He would have needed the run on his return from over a year off in April and he runs off a nice mark.
