Shark Hanlon sends one horse on the 750-mile round trip to Market Rasen on Sunday 🌎

Shark Hanlon’s horses are running much better at the moment compared to the winter months and that’s no surprise as most of his horses prefer decent ground. Now is the time to follow Hanlon’s horses during the summer and it has to be very interesting that he sends just one horse all the way to Market Rasen Racecourse on Sunday, a lengthy 750-mile round trip from his base in Carlow in Ireland. 2.55 Market Rasen

The horse in question is a well bred daughter of Walk In The Park, aptly named Rose In The Park. This five year old mare created a great impression on her national hunt debut in June under Brian Hughes at Bangor Racecourse. Sent off a strong favourite in the betting on the day, she justified her price tag when going on to make every yard of the running and forge clear in the closing stages to win the bumper by six and a half lengths.

This mare was also successful on her sole Irish point outing and Brian Hughes has been booked for the ride again on her hurdling bow in this extended 2m4f mares’ maiden hurdle. There is a lot of dead wood in the race and her likely only main danger is the Harry Fry runner Ma Belle Noire, who is a frustrating sort with lots of place finishes but definitely has enough ability to make her presence felt in this. This is a fascinating race and it could be an intriguing affair tactically.
