Saturday’s angles: ITV Outsiders, horses for courses and Doncaster mud-lovers

There are eight races live on ITV across the afternoon on Saturday; five races from Cheltenham and three from Doncaster. We’re back with more potentially overpriced outsiders to follow, some runners with proven course records and some Doncaster runners who will thrive in the testing underfoot conditions. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

ITV Outsiders

Ex-Willie Mullins inmate O’Moore Park (22/1, bet365) was a respectable third behind Caldwell Potter in the Cheltenham Festival novice handicap chase two years ago and was sixth at this year’s festival. Perhaps the return to Cheltenham will rejuvenate him and he looks well handicapped now.

Big Tribe (14/1, bet365) is half-sister to Nandita, who finished third in a Group 2 for John & Thady Gosden, and the son of Sioux Nation was a game winner on debut at Newcastle earlier this month. Improvement will be needed but he’s entitled to take a step forward and the best is yet to come.

Bold Endeavour (33/1, bet365) was a smart handicapper for Nicky Henderson, but his two starts for current connections have been a bit below-par. That has caused a significant slide in the weights and he now looks well treated, running off a mark of 119, so perhaps a return to form is on the cards.

Horses for courses

Ace Of Spades has a win and a second to his name in three previous starts at Cheltenham and is currently on just a 4lb higher mark than when winning at Huntingdon last term.

One Horse Town‘s finest hour came in a Grade 2 juvenile hurdle over course and distance last term and went on to place twice twice here after that. Don’t rule out a return to winning ways.

Testing conditions at Doncaster

Al Shabab Storm is one of only three runners who have won on soft ground before and that stands the five-year-old in good stead. He’s been consistent recently and deserves to get his head in front.

Bengal Tiger bolted up on soft ground at Naas last time out and he looks very difficult to oppose on the evidence of that 12-length success. Aidan O’Brien’s colt is progressive and can take another step forward.
