Saturday TV Stats – 850/1 Cracker Acca

Robert Havlin goes clear of the field at Ascot.

Trends Analysis: Saturday 7th Sept 2019

Plenty to get stuck into this Saturday as the ITV cameras are taking in eight races across three venues – Haydock, Kempton and Ascot.

Haydock is the flagship meeting of the day with the Group One Sprint Cup the feature – a contest that’s seen fourteen of the last seventeen winners aged five or younger.

Some competitive handicaps at Ascot, while at Kempton the Group Three September Stakes takes top billing.

There are also supporting afternoon cards at Thirsk and Stratford, plus Wolverhampton provides the evening action under the floodlights.

We’ll be highlighting our TOP FOUR trends to look for from the ITV Racing and putting them in a big-priced ‘Cracker Acca’ – plus, giving you the ‘best of the rest’ trends from around the other tracks this Saturday.

Plus – don’t forget, you can also get more help finding the winner for all this Saturday’s races on our Free Horse Racing Tips page.

TV Stats ‘850/1 Cracker Acca’

(Pays £8,500 for a £10 stake)

1.50 Haydock: The Royal runner – CALCULATION – did us a favour a few weeks ago so we’ll be looking for more of the same. Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, who has a cracking 34% record with his three-year-olds at the track, he landed his hat-trick with an easy six-length winner at Chelmsford last time out despite a rise in grade and a seven pound hike in the ratings looks the type to have more to come.

2.45 Ascot: Seventeen runners here but it’s hard to ignore last year’s winner – RIPP ORF. This five-year-old got the job done by half a length twelve months ago and is only a pound higher in the ratings. He loves Ascot with his career runs at the Berkshire track reading 1-3-1-2-5-4. Any rain is fine too and last year’s rider – Jason Watson – is back to do the steering.

3.00 Haydock: This has been a kind race to the Richard Hannon yard in recent years – they’ve won the prize three times since 2009. They look to have another big chance this season with SESAME BIRAH, who has won two of his five career starts. Ryan Moore is a positive jockey booking too, while recent second on soft ground in a Listed race at Newbury was a solid effort.

3.35 Haydock: Plenty of chances here but it might just pay to stick with the Ian Williams runner – RESHOUN – who won this race last year by just over three lengths. Okay, he’s not won a race since but as a result has slipped to a mark that sees him just three pounds higher than last season. Any rain will be fine and Jim Crowley, who rode last year, has been booked to ride again.
