Ryan Moore hasn’t been seen riding on British soil since he rode at Newmarket at the end of October. Since then, he has picked up five Group 1 wins abroad – Meditate, Victoria Road and Tuesday at Breeders’ Cup, Vela Azul in the Japan Cup and Wellington in the Hong Kong Sprint. Moore has four rides at Lingfield Racecourse on Saturday, all for trainer George Boughey, and they form a tasty Lucky 15.
Ehteyat is turned out quickly after landing a fair gamble at Southwell just six days ago. He makes his polytrack debut here and steps up in trip but he has a 5lb rise in the weights to contend with. He might have work on to beat our Nap of the Day but deserves to be at the head of the market.
Pocket The Packet has gone up a massive 13lb in the weights for running out a very easy winner here at Lingfield over 7f eight days ago. It is a big ask with nearly an extra stone on his back but the booking of Moore is a real sign of intent.
Paris Lights was sold out of Jessica Harrington’s yard for 60,000 guineas and was also gelded before having his first run for his new yard, and it worked. He landed a big punt on stable debut under William Buick over course and distance last month and he could be a force in handicaps now.
Moore’s final ride of the day is aboard All The King’s Men, who is having his first run for his new yard since leaving Fabrice Chappet in France. The dual winner on grass is well bred by Kingman and ran well on his only all-weather start in France.
