We are in for another stellar weekend of horse racing action and the feature on Saturday has to be the Epsom Derby, where Desert Crown bids to confirm to backers why she is such a short price.
Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing Outsider bets and he thinks these three runners are all overpriced. Best of luck if you follow and remember, always gamble responsibly.
Oneforthegutter (20/1) was a Haydock maiden winner on debut over 6f who went on to place in pattern company when runner up in a Deauville Group 3 last August. Finished sixth of seven behind Royal Patronage and Coreobus in the Royal Lodge at the end of last season and needed the run when fourth in Listed company on return. Big player on handicap debut despite top weight.
Master Matt (18/1) took his form to new heights last year when winning a Listed contest at Tipperary over 5f, so he does possess plenty of tactical speed which is needed around here. Finished fifth in a premier handicap at the Curragh after that in September and was fourth off top weight in another Curragh handicap on his return to action in March. Should be in the mix.
Glory Daze (125/1) was a well beaten second by Stone Age in the Derby Trial at Leopardstown. However, he was staying on well in the closing stages of that race so this step up in trip should really suit. For all his pedigree is mostly speed, he certainly does look a proper stayer and he should outrun his huge odds here.
