It’s another day of great action on ITV and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of outsiders. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. Adrian is in cracking form and had provided followers with 22/1 & 14/1 winners recently.
Fivethousandtoone (12/1) hails from the Tim Easterby stable and won a course and distance handicap off a mark of 98 in March 2024. The son of Frankel was far from disgraced at Ripon on his latest start and is now 3lb lower than his last winning mark. The handicapper is relenting and he should be capable of winning a race of this nature very soon.
Sheradann (12/1) finished an eyecatching third in a 2m handicap at Goodwood on his latest start and that was a welcome return to form. He won’t have to improve a great deal on that to be considered a place candidate here. He should appreciate a good pace to aim at and it looks like he will get it here. Stall 12 should be absolutely fine and it would be no surprise to see him run the race of his life.
Imperial Sovereign (66/1) won here on his debut for Karl Burke in 2023 and was far from disgraced in the Group 2 Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot in the summer of 2024. Sent off at odds of 100/1 for his debut for this yard at Haydock on return last month, he ran a very nice race when beaten around six lengths and perhaps this step up in trip could unlock some improvement. He is of course a risky proposition but that’s reflected in the price.
