1.30 Ascot

Sheer Rocks won at Chester over 1m2f last July and has now dropped back down to a very favourable mark. He is much respected on his seasonal return and although he has never run on soft ground, his dam was a winner on soft so there is hope that he can handle it.

2.05 Ascot

Farhh To Shy won on her reappearance run at Doncaster last season and took a big step back in the right direction when third behind Belhaven and Sly Madam off this mark at Nottingham. Her best form is on a faster surface but she ran well in the mud last time.

2.40 Ascot

This boy Safe Voyage is an old horse now but he finished an excellent fourth in the Balmoral over the mile here on his final start last term. He caught the eye again last time when a good third of 15 in the Thirsk Hunt Cup last weekend and he could be poised to land a big pot.

3.15 Haydock

Aucunrisque put in a stellar effort to win the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February. Couldn’t match that form in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham but bounced back to form when third to Teddy Blue at Plumpton last month. Needs respecting despite having the burden of top weight. He is the class act in the race.
