It’s another day of great action on ITV and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of outsiders. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. Adrian is in cracking form and had provided followers with a cracking 18/1 winner recently thanks to Lead Artist, who went off much shorter.
Elouise’s Prince (40/1) had excuses for his poor York run on reappearance and handicap debut as he was drawn high which was the wrong side of the track. He improved from his Beverley debut in September when readily winning back-to-back over 5f on the AW at Wolverhampton. He’s a very speedy sort who should be suited to this track and looks overpriced with more things in his favour here.
Ziggy’s Missile (33/1) is another Robert Cowell runner who could go well at a price. Twice a winner over 5f at Nottingham and Southwell in April, he disappointed big-time at Windsor when last seen but that wasn’t his true running at all and if you can forgive that latest effort, there’s no way he’s a 33/1 chance. The draw is fine and he should be capable of putting in a bold showing.
Tennessee Stud (33/1) is worth a nibble. Stalls 10 and 12 have an eerily good record in the Derby in recent times and although Lambourn is already fairly well supported, I’ll have a stab at Joseph O’Brien’s runner. He won a weak renewal of the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud last year but still did it nicely and he looked in need of the run when behind Delacroix on his reappearance. He’s not to be ruled out.
