‘Sandown suits him perfectly’ – Monster 1,055/1 ITV horses for courses treble

The greatest four days of racing anywhere in the world is almost upon us, with the Cheltenham Festival kicking off on Tuesday. Saturday’s ITV action should serve as the perfect warm up and they are showing seven races live from Sandown and Wolverhampton, which shouldn’t be missed.

Course form can make a big difference to a a horse’s chances, as some perform better at certain tracks than others. This is a good opportunity to find a slight advantage so we’ve combined three horses with proven course records into a monster treble on Saturday. 2.05 Wolverhampton

Cinque Verde (11/1, Betfred) is much more prolific on the all-weather, with seven of her nine career wins coming on artificial surfaces. She has also won three of his six starts at Wolverhampton, with the most recent of those successes coming on her last visit to the track in March 2025. Her record first time out is very good , so the 163-day break isn’t a concern with that in mind.

2.27 Sandown

Go Dante (10/1, Betfred) is unbeaten in three starts at Sandown and the track clearly suits him perfectly. Olly Murphy’s gelding won this race last year off a mark of 127 and was also victorious here in December. Having also won the Imperial Cup in 2024, he’ll be bidding to complete the hat-trick here. It would be very dangerous to rule him out once again.

3.15 Wolverhampton

Witch Hunter (7/1, Betfred) did well to win a competitive handicap off 101 at Newcastle in January and Richard Hannon’s seven-year-old is a Group 2 winner over this trip. He has two wins and second to his name in three starts at Wolverhampton and is capable of running a big race here.
