Sandown outsiders on Saturday: A longshot for every race on Imperial Cup day

The Cheltenham Festival gets underway on Tuesday so this weekend is hopefully where us punters can fill the satchels for next week. Below, we have highlighted a horse who looks overpriced in every race at Sandown on Imperial Cup day.

1.15 Sandown

Gary Moore has farmed this meeting in recent years and Bridge might outrun his odds. A 14 length winner of a Fontwell maiden hurdle in December, he’s been running well in handicaps and Moore has won three of the last six runnings of this.

1.50 Sandown

Another Gary Moore horse and this time it’s Diplomatic Ash, who ran a shocker here on handicap debut last month but his run at Plumpton on his penultimate start was full of promise. Worth another chance off 2lb lower sporting a tongue tie.

2.25 Sandown

Dan Skelton’s Goonhilly might outrun his huge odds. He won this race in 2021 with Langer Dan and only a terrible jump cost him victory at Wincanton when last seen. He has stamina so will appreciate this stiff finish.

3.00 Sandown

Rula Bula disappointed in fourth at Doncaster in a Listed bumper when last seen but she’s all stamina as when proven when winning easily on heavy ground at Warwick in November. She’s another who will prefer a much stiffer track.

3.35 Sandown

Mylesfromwicklow was a very expensive purchase who was narrowly denied by the progressive Butch over hurdles last March. He won over fences at Huntingdon in November and we haven’t seen the best of him yet.

4.10 Sandown

Easy As That bolted up in a Newcastle handicap chase off a mark of 133 last February and finished a creditable sixth in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham off 141 in November. He’s a huge player off 133 again if he can bounce back from a poor effort.

4.40 Sandown

Jet Plane needs a revival to get involved but he is back down to his last winning mark of 124, and if any man can get a horse right for a handicap this time of year, it’s Dan Skelton.
