Salisbury’s top trainer and jockey combine with one runner on Tuesday 🔥

Tom Marquand has been enjoying himself immensely at Salisbury so far this season. One of the best jockeys around, he has four winners from his six rides at the track so far. Regular boss William Haggas is the Wiltshire track’s top trainer so far this year, with three winners from his four runners. This gives them 67 per cent and 75 per cent strike-rates respectively.

With this in mind, it bodes very well for the chances of their runner at Salisbury on Tuesday. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

5.10 Salisbury

Timeless Melody has had just four starts to date and looks pretty unexposed in handicap company. She finished fourth on debut over a mile at Newcastle in February for Charlie Appleby and went even closer when upped to 1m3f at Kempton next time, finishing second.

It was an excellent performance from this filly on her stable debut at Leicester two starts ago. Haggas’ filly got off the mark over 7f at Leicester, on her first start for over a year. It was a reasonable effort when fourth in Class 2 company on handicap debut at Ascot over a mile last time out and she would have learnt plenty that day.

The step back up to 1m2f should suit and she’s likely to find life easier here, having been dropped in grade. There’s plenty more to come from this filly on just her second handicap start and she should be bang in there this time around. It’s hard to knock the records of both her trainer and jockey at Salisbury and connections will want the hot streak to continue.
