‘Running here is second nature’- three Musselburgh specialists form 159-1 treble 🐎

Musselburgh

There’s competitive meeting at Musselburgh on Tuesday to look forward to. Picking winners is always difficult but you can whittle down the shortlist by looking for horses who act well on certain tracks. With this in mind, we’ve picked out three specialists with excellent records at Musselburgh who are running on Tuesday. Running here is second nature to these runners. When combined, these horses form a massive 159-1 treble. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

1.15 Musselburgh

Diamond State (4-1, William Hill) has run here 14 times during his career and has won or placed nine times. This suggests it’s more likely than not that he’ll run his race and he has a progressive profile over fences. Having had just three starts over the larger obstacles, he got off the mark here last time and was in with a shout before the leader fell at the last. There should be more to come from him as Lucinda Russell’s horses tend to improve significantly for fences.

1.45 Musselburgh

First Account (7-1, William Hill) loves it at Musselburgh, with a record of two wins and a second in three starts. One concern would be the year-long lay-off as he’s bound to improve for the run. It’s hard to look past his track record however and he should run a massive race as long as he’s sharp enough for today’s excursion. Still lightly-raced over fences and he’s down to a nice mark.

2.45 Musselburgh

Hold Onto The Line (3-1, William Hill) has had just six starts under rules so far and has won three of them. A hugely progressive horse, he’s yet to taste defeat since going handicapping. Won here over an extended 2m4f on chase debut last time out which was a smart performance on his first run for 241 days. Should improve for that run and has a great chance to win again if doing so. He’s hard to beat at Musselburgh, having won three of his four starts at the track.
