Royal Ascot acca: the Tuesday 104-1 fivefold that has bookmakers running for cover 🏃‍♂️

Royal Ascot 2017 day 1

Bookmakers are bracing themselves for a potentially disastrous opening day of Royal Ascot as there are five horses with a favourites chance that could all do the business. Check out our Royal Ascot Day 1 tips on the website.

2.30 Ascot

Top class colt and son of Sea The Stars, Baaeed made it seven wins from seven career starts when dismantling the Lockinge field at Newbury in May. Last year’s Queen Elizabeth Stakes II winner is already proven over this track and trip and it is very difficult to see what can put it up to him.

3.05 Ascot

Persian Force is a son of Mehmas who cost €225,000 and he wasn’t long proving that price is a snip when bolting up in the Brocklesby on debut, before then going on to beat the reopposing Holguin comfortably in a conditions race at Newbury. The one to beat.

3.40 Ascot

Aussie raider Nature Strip arrives to British shores with a huge reputation and this race is no stranger to international winners. Three Australian horses won the race between 2003 and 2009 and this horse is already a seven time Group 1 winner. He acts on any ground but wouldn’t mind a drop of rain at all.

4.20 Ascot

Coroebus deserves to be odds on for the St James’s Palace Stakes off the back of his impressive 2,000 Guineas victory, the form of which has been franked massively. He sets a huge standard and for all there are rivals in here who have plenty of untapped potential, this lad is surely going to take a lot of beating.

6.10 Ascot

The horse that could potentially burst the bookmakers’ satchels is Cleveland. He was an impressive Curragh maiden winner over 1m1f on heavy ground in 2020, but had his issues and missed the entire 2021 campaign. He proved he was a pattern performer running in a handicap when winning the Chester Cup on handicap bow under a terrific Ryan Moore ride, coming from the clouds to win. There should be more to come.
