Racing League outsiders: three horses who look overpriced at Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton Sprint

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders for another great night of Racing League action at Wolverhampton Racecourse and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Thursday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the day, and remember, always bet responsibly.

5.45 Wolverhampton

Karl Burke sure does know how to cause an upset, evident when his outsider beat a 1-25 shot at Ripon during the week, and he has another solid chance here in the opener with Beyond Borders (18/1). This colt makes his tapeta debut but he had excuses for a poor showing at Haydock last time as he had to deal with very heavy ground. A winner at Thirsk on good to firm in June, this surface should be more suitable.

6.15 Wolverhampton

Water Of Leith (20/1) ran better than the bare result would suggest when seventh at Windsor last month, but he was beaten less than three lengths for a finish. What strikes me as impressive is his record over course and distance which reads 1135233, so a return to this track and trip might bring out plenty of improvement for Jim Goldie’s runner. He does have a wide draw to contend with which is a negative but at the prices he’s worth a punt.

7.15 Wolverhampton

Down at the foot of the weights, Richard Hannon’s Night Arc (16/1) is possibly underestimated in the betting. This colt makes his tapeta debut here and he hit the line well when winning over a mile at Sandown in July, so staying this trip around here will pose no issues at all.
