Hollie Doyle is set to return from injury at Newcastle on Friday. The international superstar has recovered from her surgery and she warms up for Saturday’s Lincoln with one ride at Newcastle on Friday. It’s great news that the Queen is back, as she’s such a good ambassador for the sport. The Turf season kicks off on Saturday so she has returned to race riding at the perfect time. Her sole ride seems to have a cracking chance and it could be the perfect return. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Rhythm N Hooves has had just one start so far and it was almost a winning one. He was just denied by the narrow margin of a neck over 5f at Wolverhampton earlier this month. It’s fair to assume that he would have learnt plenty from the experience and may well improve here. The front two pulled four lengths clear of the third and it was a good display from the runner-up.
There’s plenty of evidence in his pedigree that suggests he should be capable of winning races on the all-weather. His dam won over the minimum trip on an artificial surface and so did his half-sister. I don’t think it’ll be long before he gets his head in front and if putting in a similar performance to last time or even finds some improvement, he could well get the job done at the second time of asking here.
One thing’s for sure, with Hollie Doyle on his back, he’ll have every chance. I doubt there’s a single person in the entire sport of horse racing that would begrudge Doyle a winning return to the saddle.
