Preview, free tip and outsider for the feature Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster

Now the dust at Prestbury Park has settled, it’s great to see the return of the Flat, and what better way to kickstart proceedings than the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday.

We take a look at the main contenders before providing followers with a free tip and outsider selection for the big race. If you are looking for free horse racing tips for the weekend, make sure you check out the website.

3.35 Doncaster

Run over the straight mile, a large field are set to go to post for a cracking renewal of the Lincoln and it’s the Irish who hold the strongest chance with Chazzesmee. Fozzy Stack’s six-year-old justified strong market support to win the Irish Lincoln at the Curragh on Monday, and he heads across the Irish Sea to try and win the English equivalent, a feat that has never been done before. He is going to take a lot of beating and is our free tip for the race.

There are many dangers in the race, including Awaal who finished second to Migration in the race last year and has a 3lb pull in the weights with that horse if you factor in jockey’s claims. Karl Burke’s Liberty Lane won over course and distance on St Leger day last year and will enjoy the ground, while Charlie Johnston’s The Gatekeeper has seen plenty of market support all week.

Outsider tip

If there’s one horse at a huge price who might surprise a few with a big run, it’s the Ian Williams runner, Parlando. He was last seen winning a handicap in Bahrain, and although he has nearly always raced on good or fast ground, he did win on his debut on heavy ground so he could handle conditions.
