6.30 Warwick

The horse in question runs in the South West Syndicate Novices’ Handicap Chase (6.30). Harry will ride Aheadfullofdreams for his brother Dan and at first glance the horse has outstanding claims.

The eight-year-old Sandmason gelding did grand over hurdles but has looked a different proposition over larger obstacles. He ran out a 15-length winner of a Plumpton handicap in April and was narrowly denied at the same venue six days later.

Returning to the track with a 45-day break to freshen up, he could well improve again. If he does, then the 3lb rise in the weights might be nowhere near enough to prevent his progression.

Harry is the top rider at the course in the last five seasons, with 52 winners from 214 rides. That is an incredible 24 per cent return, outrageous numbers.

The next best behind him was the now retired Richard Johnson with just 25 winners. You can be rest assured that this horse is trying hard on Wednesday and they have the right man on board, that’s for sure.
