Nicky Henderson was unbeaten at Ayr last season and sends two there on Friday 🚛

Sandown - Nicky Henderson

Nicky Henderson places his horses really well and won’t send one on a long journey unless he thinks the horse has a right good chance. In the last five years, he has only sent 30 runners to Ayr Racecourse in total. Six of them have won but he was a perfect two from two there last season. It has to be interesting that he sends two runners there on Friday. You will also be able to find our free horse racing tips on the website each and every day so make sure that you check them out.

2.25 Ayr

Persian Time was a very impressive winner on debut at Ascot in November and he only found a good horse in Springwell Bay too good when they met at the same track in February. That winner has since gone on to run respectably at Grade 1 level. Persian Time was sent off huge odds for the Ballymore at the Cheltenham Festival and was pulled up, but he has to be a huge player back in much calmer waters.

4.45 Ayr

Quick Draw was a decent hurdler when trained by Tom Lacey and won twice over obstacles for that yard last season. He won twice over fences for Henderson during the winter months but ran a shocker when sent off favourite at Kempton when last seen and was subsequently pulled up in the process. He has a bit to prove now off the back of that but he reverts back to hurdling on what could be a lenient mark for powerful connections and it would be no surprise if he was up to winning this.
