It could be another good day for the owners of Baaeed, who have a live contender in the opener in Mahrajaan. The four year old won three races on the bounce last summer, and although he was tailed off last in the John Smith’s Cup here last month, something was clearly amiss as he bounced right back to form at Newmarket when last seen. Still could be well ahead of his mark.

Friday Nap of the Day

Myristica won back to back handicaps at Ripon and Beverley impressive in June, before finding just one too good back at Ripon off a mark of 89 in July. Didn’t run a bad race at Goodwood off 91 last time and although she doesn’t look that well treated, this stiffer track should play more to her strengths.
