NAP of the day: Liam Bramall likes the chances of this 2-1 shot on Monday 🏇

There’s plenty of action on Monday with five meetings taking place. These create a grand total of 35 races and Liam Bramall has picked out one that he considers to be the most likely winner of the day. The selection runs at Chepstow and is well set for a huge effort. 2.45 Chepstow

Jackmeister Rudi (2-1, William Hill) is a progressive three-year-old that has thrived since switching to the turf. His four runs on the all-weather were unexceptional although he showed some promise when second in a seller at Wolverhampton on his third start. Turf is the surface for him though as he has improved with every one of his three starts on grass and is yet to finish out of the frame.

This improvement culminated in a comfortable success at Brighton last time out. It was a good performance as there were a couple of horses with decent course records in behind and comfortably beaten. As he’s still a young and relatively inexperienced horse it’s unlikely that we’ve seen the best of him yet and there should be more progress to come.

The handicapper raised the colt by just 3lb for that victory which seems generous especially with the promise of more to come. Being a three-year-old, the gelding receives a very handy 7lb allowance which will only better his chances.
