More mayhem in Ireland? Three runners smashed in at Bellewstown on Tuesday 📉

It was a fascinating day at Downpatrick on Monday as the money came for all four of Charles Byrnes’ runners and the first three obliged. There could be more mayhem on the way at Bellewstown on Tuesday as three runners have been smashed in during the morning. The horses in question were available at 50-1, 14-1 and 8-1 but have been slashed into 14-1, 4-1 and 8-1 respectively. 4.05 Bellewstown

Wishes And Dreams (50-1 into 14-1) made her debut in a maiden at Dundalk back in February and didn’t show a great deal. She finished last of the 12 runners and showed plenty of inexperience. On the bright side, the only way is up and she surely would have learnt plenty from the experience. Joseph O’Brien has given her plenty of time and the market indicates that a much improved effort could be on the cards this time around.

4.35 Bellewstown

James Henry (14-1 into 4-1) finished second on his final start for Denis Hogan but has shown little in two starts for his current yard. Perhaps the return to turf will suit this horse and he has slipped to a mark off which he finished second back in September. Colin Keane is a notable jockey booking and the money is certainly coming for him.

5.35 Bellewstown

Quantum Light (8-1 into 11-4) has had just two starts for Andrew Slattery, having joined from Ralph Beckett’s yard last month. She was a creditable second on debut for the yard over 7f at Galway on her penultimate start. The three-year-old followed that up by finishing third off this mark last time out. This looks like an easier race and she should go close once again if producing a similar effort.
