Newcastle All Weather

With Christmas fast approaching, wouldn’t it be amazing to land a monster treble on Monday? Of course, the chances of having one big priced winner is slim, never mind three. But in order to win big, you must dream big and here we are having a go. We have picked out one horse from each of the three cards on Monday. The massive 2,924-1 across-the-cards longshot treble can be backed with William Hill below.

2.15 Musselburgh

This is a very competitive handicap hurdle and it can go the way of BIG JIM DWYER. Trained by Keith Dalgleish, he was well held at Newcastle last month but showed plenty of promise prior to that. He was third in a Roscommon bumper when trained by Joseph O’Brien and has finished third three times in Britain since. He is clearly in need of a step up in trip and he has that today so an improved performance should be on the cards.

3.35 Lingfield

Tom Marquand is a highly sought after jockey and he will take the ride on Ali Stronge’s AMANTO here. This gelding did not have an adequate test when fifth at Lingfield on his latest start. The step back up to the two miles will be massively in his favour and he races from 60 once again. He finished a two length fourth here over course and distance from this mark and is a course winner. Ticks a lot of boxes here and should run a good race.

5.25 Newcastle

It usually pays to be drawn high at Newcastle on the sprint course so SCALE FORCE has to be of interest for Gay Kelleway. He will be able to grab the stands side rail under talented 7lb claimer George Bass. Usually seen at Southwell of late, connections are keen to try him here at Newcastle. The stiff nature of the track should certainly suit and he runs from a favourable mark.
