Jesmond Dawn has only had three starts to date and the best of those efforts arguably came on debut at Ripon in May. The 12-length winner put in one of the most dominant performances from a juvenile in recent years and if you take him out of the race, Jesmond Dawn’s effort would have looked very fair.

Plenty of improvement could be on the cards now handicapping and we should start to see what he’s made of.
Whilst it’s difficult to know exactly what to expect on his first handicap start here, the market is certainly predicting a significantly improved performance. This situation is worth keeping an eye one and it’ll be interesting to see if the price falls any further.
