Major market mover: 50/1 shot slashed into 7/1 at Newcastle on Tuesday

Two horses appear to have control of the market in the 7.00 at Newcastle on Tuesday but there’s an outsider that is fancied to give them a race. Initially available at 50/1, the horse in question has been subject to sustained market support.

The biggest available price at time of writing is just 7/1 and there will now be plenty of interested parties. We like to keep you informed with our daily market movers but this one demanded special attention. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

7.00 Newcastle

Miami Hills has had two starts to date and she was far from disgraced when finishing fifth on debut at Wolverhampton. She was slow into stride that day and showed signs of inexperience in the closing stages when hanging left-handed. Julie Camacho’s three-year-old ran on nicely so her bitterly disappointing effort at Southwell next time was a head-scratcher.

Her chances are severely dependant on which filly turns up here. If she can build on her debut effort, you wouldn’t want to rule out a big run. Significant improvement would be required on the evidence of her latest effort but she remains lightly raced and is entitled to progress.

Charlie Fellowes’ runner Minnie Wildes heads the market and understandably so after her impressive victory last time out. Second Name cost 270,000 guineas and he makes his debut for the Roger Varian yard and has to be of interest with that in mind. Miami Hills is clearly fancied to give them a run for their money and it’ll be interesting to see how she gets on here.
