Jockey with 100 per cent strike-rate has just one ride at Ludlow on Wednesday 💯

Amateur rider Alice Stevens has had just two rides at Ludlow so far this season and both have won. This 100 per cent record is on the line on Wednesday as she takes one ride at the Shropshire track. The runner in question has a solid chance according to the market. One look at the horse’s form will tell you that the veteran has every chance.

3.45 Ludlow

Head To The Stars goes in the £15,000 His Royal Highness The Prince Of Wales Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase. The 12-year-old veteran comes into the race with really solid claims. He finished fourth here last time out. That was a better race over an extended 3m1f and may well have finished closer if not blundering at the last fence.

Henry Daly’s gelding last won over course and distance in December 2021 off a 3lb lower mark. Something of a course specialist at Ludlow, he has won three times and placed twice in 10 starts here. This means the majority of his five career wins have come at this track. Another big run is expected here as he’s clearly competitive off this mark.

Seigneur Des As is the race favourite and rates as the main danger. The five-year-old improved after wind surgery and was just denied at Lingfield last time. However, Head To The Stars has been around the block plenty of times. Despite the fact that he concedes weight to the entire field, he could well get the job done if putting in a similar performance to last time.
