‘Jake Coen’s 7lb claim is so valuable’ – Navan horse backed from 33s into 9s 🚀

3.22 Navan

Running in the Navan Adventure Centre Handicap, Forca Brasil has been a big shaker in the market this morning. Backed from highs of 33-1 this morning all the way into 8-1 in places, there’s a few out there putting money on this horse.

Owned by the more and more familiar Amo Racing, this horse won on debut for George Boughey at Newmarket last year. He had three runs in Britain before moving across to Adrian Murray.

Far from disgraced on handicap and stable debut at Cork in April where he finished seventh, he is now 6lb lower in the weights and first time blinkers and tongue tie are applied today.

Although he disappointed at Naas last time out, his prior fourth behind Collective Power reads very well. Jake Coen’s 7lb claim is so valuable here; he is one of the best young riders anywhere in the world and his guidance in the saddle could prove decisive.

This horse is without doubt very hit or miss, but is now down to such a dangerous mark and when the money is down on an Amo Racing horse, they seldom leave it behind.
