ITV Outsiders: Liam Bramall fancies a 33/1 shot at Haydock on Saturday

We have another excellent Saturday of racing to look forward and nine races will be televised live on ITV. There will be five races on the schedule from Haydock, three from Ascot and the Grade 1 Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown. That means we’re back with our usual feast of fancies at big prices and they include a 33/1 shot at Haydock. Why not check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing but please remember to gamble responsibly and keep it fun.

1.15 Haydock

N’Golo (33/1, Paddy Power) is an ex-Willie Mullins inmate with some very decent form to his name. He won the Swinton Hurdle for Ann Duffield back in 2022 and has perhaps struggled with his mark since. The nine-year-old has dropped to a 5lb lower mark now and there were signs of a return to form when third at Wetherby last time. Having been dropped another 2lb since, it would be no surprise to see him make the frame here.

2.30 Haydock

Push The Button (16/1, bet365) is thoroughly unexposed in handicaps and he showed plenty in three novice hurdle starts last term. Nigel Twiston-Davies’ gelding did the job in good style at Worcester on his first start over timber and finished fourth in a better race at Cheltenham after that. Winning nicely again at Warwick after that, we didn’t see him again until he made his handicap debut at Cheltenham last month. The son of Kingston Hill is entitled to improve for the run and he’s interesting now up in trip.

3.20 Ascot

Harper’s Brook (12/1, William Hill) didn’t take well to the National fences when pulling up on debut for this yard at Aintree. Better is expected now back over the regulation fences and the handicapper has dropped him 1lb since. Most of his best form has come over this sort of trip and his current mark is only 2b higher than when winning easily at Sandown in February.
