ITV Outsiders: 33-1, 22-1, 20-1 and 20-1 tips to shake things up on Friday 📺

Friday is shaping up to be an awesome day of action across both codes. It’s Day 1 of the Cesarewitch meeting at Newmarket, there’s an ultra-competitive meeting at York and it’s the unofficial start of the Jumps season at Chepstow. With all this action going, there are 10 races across the three meetings live on ITV. Liam Bramall is back with four more outsiders who could shake things up and give the favourites something to think about. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.40 York

Lion Tower (22-1, William Hill) has put in some particularly strong performances in some very competitive races so far this season. Grant Tuer’s gelding has been noticeably good here at York with a win and two places in three starts. Currently rated 92 which is just 2lb higher than when winning at Redcar over 7f three starts ago. He has the useful ability to run well over 7f or a mile which bodes well for him.

3.15 York

Chillhi (20-1, bet365) is a two-time winner already which makes this price look pretty substantial. Improved significantly from his debut sixth at Haydock to win at Newcastle second time out. Stepping up to Group 3 standard on his next start proved a bit beyond him but he did it nicely in a competitive Nursery last time. It’s not beyond him to run a big race here provided some improvement is forthcoming.

3.50 York

Dark Moon Rising (33-1, bet365) is a fascinating contender upon returning to handicaps. Hasn’t been seen in one since this meeting last year when finishing third in a Nursery. The drop in grade looks warranted as he’s been finding life harder and harder in Stakes races lately. Kevin Ryan always targets York and this looks like a good opportunity to return to winning ways. Despite being top weight, he should find life much easier.

4.10 Newmarket

Paradias (20-1, William Hill) tries 1m4f for the first time here. Alan King’s charge has shaped as if that will suit as his best effort came over 1m3f at Goodwood. A relatively unexposed colt, he has had just nine career starts so far. It’s likely that the best is yet to come especially over an extra furlong and he could progress into a smart handicapper. Rossa Ryan is a smart jockey booking and he should go well.
