ITV Outsiders: 25/1, 22/1, 20/1 and 16/1 Racing League tips at Southwell

Horse racing is in Liam's blood and his biggest passion is jumps racing. He can often be found at his favourite tracks; Chepstow and Cheltenham in the Autumn when the National Hunt action kicks off. The Racing League concludes on Thursday and we have another seven-race fixture to look forward to. It’s Southwell‘s turn to host and as per usual, all seven races will be live on ITV. 5.45 Southwell

Chillhi (25/1, bet365) doesn’t appear to stay two miles so Brian Ellison’s gelding is now of interest upon returning to 1m4f. Both of his wins have come on the all-weather and that includes victory off a mark of 85 in his three-year-old days. His best run so far this year was a fair second at Chester over an extended 1m4f and he should go close once again, now on a 3lb lower mark.

Smoky Mountain (16/1, William Hill) looked good when winning a maiden over this trip at Wolverhampton in December and won a handicap at the same track two starts later. Second off a 5lb higher mark at Newcastle in February, Charlie Fellowes’ four-year-old is more than capable of running a big race here.

Londoner (20/1, bet365) is an ex-Ballydoyle inmate and has been a little disappointing since joining Jim Goldie. The handicapper is responding accordingly however and his mark has dropped substantially. He won his maiden impressively over this trip and should be competitive again sooner rather than later.

The Caltonian (22/1, William Hill) is an all-weather specialist so it was no surprise to see him run a cracker at Newcastle last week. Finishing third that day, he was beaten less than a length and should go close once again off the same mark here.
