ITV Outsiders: 25-1, 16-1 and 14-1 tips for Round 2 of the Racing League 🏆

The first round of the Racing League was particularly good for the Wales & the west team, who came away with four winners on the day. Round 2 is set to take place at Chepstow on Thursday and all seven races are live on ITV. We’ve selected three outsiders at big prices who are capable of outrunning their odds. It could be a good night for the North as two of our selections are representing that team. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

5.30 Chepstow

Yantarni (14-1, bet365) put in a slightly improved performance when fourth at Yarmouth in the last Racing League meeting. The handicapper has dropped him by a pound and that leaves him on a mark which is just 1lb higher than when winning a Newmarket handicap for Charlie Appleby last August. He should therefore be competitive off this mark and the return to a mile is likely to suit.

6.30 Chepstow

Indian Falcon (16-1, bet365) got off the mark by a narrow margin at Pontefract on seasonal debut. The step up to 7f clearly didn’t suit and the return to this trip is a massive positive. Richard Fahey’s charge finished fourth on handicap debut at Haydock off a 3lb higher mark in May and should therefore be in the mix here. The best is yet to come and improvement could be on the cards.

8.30 Chepstow

Zip (25-1, William Hill) ran a cracker when narrowly beaten into second at Newcastle last month. That effort came off a 1lb lower mark and there’s no reason to suggest that he won’t run his race once again. His last win was at Southwell in February off a 2lb lower mark and if translating that form to the turf, he would have every chance of making the frame.
