ITV Lucky 15: Four tips to put in your multiples at York and Salisbury on Thursday

It’s a busy week for the ITV cameras this week and they’re at York on Thursday for Dante Stakes day, where they will be showing the first five races. One race at Salisbury is also on the schedule and we’ve combined four horses at double-figure prices into a Lucky 15 for you to consider. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.15 York

Copper Knight (16/1, bet365) certainly knows his way around York and is a seven-time course winner. This includes two victories in this very race and he returned to form when just denied at Chester last week. Tim Easterby’s veteran last won here in July off a 3lb higher mark and he should go close on that evidence.

2.30 Salisbury

Kyle Of Lochalsh (12/1, Paddy Power) finally started to get the hang of things at the backend of 2023, winning his final two starts of the year. He looked like he needed the run when well beaten on seasonal debut and better is expected here. A 2lb drop in the weights will also help and there should be more to come.

2.45 York

Cruyff Turn (20/1, bet365) has been a no show in his last four starts but the handicapper is beginning to relent as a consequence. His last win came off a 3lb higher mark at Redcar in June and that makes him pretty well handicapped. Tim Easterby’s nine-year-old won this race back in 2022 and a big run shouldn’t be ruled out.

3.45 York

Cambridge (14/1, bet365) had some fair form as a juvenile and he should be suited by the step up in trip. There are only seven runners which means only two places but there’s a pretty substantial chance he can progress and make the frame here. Connections supplemented him and that in itself is a vote of confidence.
