ITV horses for courses: track specialists form monster Lucky 15 on Saturday 🍀

It’s a busy weekend of ITV racing with two action-packed days on Friday and Saturday. Finding winners is always difficult but one way that often works is to find horses who perform well on certain tracks. With this in mind, we’ve picked out four contenders from Newmarket and York and combined them into a monster Lucky 15. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.05 York

Kyeema (20-1, bet365) is defending an unbeaten record here at York. William Haggas’ filly won on her only start on the Knavesmire back in August. That was a valuable Nursery that she won but she struggled in Group 3 company next time. She needs to bounce back here but she’s one of only two runners to have won at York which does give her an advantage.

3.00 Newmarket

Nostrum (6-4, Paddy Power) was impressive over course and distance last time when scoring by a comfortable length-and-a-quarter. The most pleasing thing about that performance was that it came in Group 3 company and it gave the impression that he’s capable of taking the this step up in class in his stride. Sir Michael Stoute’s juveniles improve with age and experience so it’s unlikely that we’ve seen the best of him yet.

3.15 York

Dakota Gold (14-1, bet365) absolutely loves it at York and has won six times at the track. He has also finished second twice meaning he runs an excellent race here more often than not. Won over course and distance and May and is now rated just 2lb higher than when winning. Should be more competitive off this mark at the track at which he often excels.

3.40 Newmarket

Going Gone (16-1, William Hill) has won or placed in both of his starts on the Rowley Mile. Returned to winning ways at Doncaster last time in a competitive race. Now has a career-high mark to contend with but his excellent run over 2m4f at Royal Ascot suggests he can run a big race over this marathon trip of 2m2f. It’s likely that he’ll be staying on stronger than most.
